Hi, I’m Amy…and my journey into the world of horse racing might not be what you’d expect. I didn’t grow up in racing yards or dream of becoming a jockey. In fact, my love for the sport came from the betting side.

It all began by chance while I was working for a sports network on Sky. One day, someone from the racing channel next door called in sick, and I was asked to step in. I didn’t have a clue about horse racing at the time – thankfully, I only had to read from an autocue! But that unexpected moment lit a fire in me, and I quickly became hooked.

From there, I threw myself into learning the ropes and became a regular face on the betting channel, developing a knack for studying the form and spotting value. While studying journalism, I even lived off my winnings – and I did pretty well!

Since then, I’ve become a familiar face in racing media and had the honour of making a bit of history as the first female presenter on Racing TV’s Raceday Social. I’ve also been lucky enough to experience the sport from many angles – including as a proud racehorse owner. Aside from being a jockey or a trainer (never say never!), I’ve pretty much had a go at most things in racing!

Over the years, I’ve built incredible relationships within the industry – with top trainers, jockeys, and owners – gaining valuable insights and behind-the-scenes knowledge that I now bring to AMYBETS.
